Q Letter to your Grandchildren/Spring 2020 Click "Create Thread" to post a response to the prompt below. Then, click "reply" to post a response to a classmate. Journal Entry: Based on the reading assignment this week, write as if you were living in the Western World from 1965-1985. In at least two complete paragraphs, describe the era you live in for your future grandchildren. Be sure to include a thorough discussion of the following topics: 1. The feminist movement (leaders, goals, organizations) 20 points 2. Anti-War protests (when, where, why) 20 points 3. Music or sports (choose one). Discuss innovations and leaders) 20 points Answers: 60 points Response: up to 5 bonus points Discussion Forum Guidelines and Helpful Tips: 1. Citations are required for every paragraph. Please post in the following format: (Spielvogel, pg. #) Posts without citations will receive a 10-point deduction. 2. Outside sources may not be used. Acceptable sources include the class textbook, power points, and/or posted videos. The use of an outside source will = a 50% grade deduction. 3. Grammar and spelling matter. Three or more grammatical or spelling errors may result in a point deduction for the assignment. Please run a spell and grammar check prior to submission. The first letter of every sentence must be capitalized. 4. Submission of a blank first post will result in a grade of zero (0) for the assignment. When a post is submitted, you will be able to view the work of your classmates. It is unfair for one person to view the work of others prior to submitting his or her own work. If you accidentally hit submit and enter a blank post, you will need to contact me immediately (within 15 minutes). I will then send you a new assignment question. This option may only be used one time per student during the semester. In other words, after your first blank post, additional blank posts will be graded as zero. 5. Quotation marks must be included for all wording copied directly from the text. Citations tell me where you found the information used in your post. Quotation marks tell me when the wording is not your own. Wording copied directly from the textbook or other sources and displayed as your own work will be considered academic dishonesty. 6. Critical thinking requires more than paraphrasing information from the textbook. Try to put yourself in the place of the people you are reading about each week and imagine history from their point of view.
